Spotlight on Staff…Dylan

Sunday, March 31st, 2019

Meet Dylan! Dylan joined us in 2017, at our Nursery on Bradford Road, Stanningley. Dylan is pleasure to be around, forever cheerful and helpful, and this was demonstrated by his Pride Award win in our Annual Awards. Until more recently Dylan has predominantly been based in Schoolroom whilst completing his NVQ Level 2 in Children and Young People’s Workforce. He is now studying the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and has moved to gain experience with younger age ranges. Dylan is a skilled childcare practitioner for children of all ages, and his excellent ability to work in a team is clear to see from the comments of his peers.
Our Staff Team say…
“Dylan is a great member of the team, he cares for the children and interacts with them with ease. He is always enthusiastic in all that he does and is always willing to help out.”

Ever since joining the team Dylan has really showed great potential, he is amazing with all the children and they all love him so much, he has formed good relationships with some of our quieter children which is lovely to see.”

“He is always willing to learn and take on new challenges daily and contributes to the learning and development of all our little people.”

“Dylan is really hard working and he has excellent relationships with all the children.”

Our Parents say…

“Oscar said Dylan is his favourite because he always gets him a drink 🙂 Dylan is a lovely young man and great around all the kids”

“My little girl has just started at this nurseryand he has helped her setting in really well…my little girl loves him and is always very excited to see him when going to nursery; he’s the one she looked for when we get there and she always tells me about all the things they have done though out the day, my little girl can be very shy and nervous around new people and I think the way she has settled with me so fast just shows how good he is at his job and with the children and I think he deserves to know how well he’s doing.”

Dylan should be proud of how far he has come since joining the nursery. He has gone from being a little shy and reserved to being confident, enthusiastic and my daughter adores him.”
“He is so great with the children; he gets stuck in and plays, cuddles and shows genuine care towards the children.” “
Dylan says…
“Winning a pride award means a lot to me as I believe I put my all into everyday at work and being awarded for this really meant the world to me. Being awarded by staff and parents has shown me that I am valued and doing well. I feel appreciated and this has given me the clarification that my hard is paying off.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody that voted for me as I was very overwhelmed and pleased to receive the award. This was the huge confidence boost I really needed and it’s amazing to see that my team, parents and even the children appreciate me and everything I do. I love what I do and am very grateful to be awarded for my hard work. All the feedback I received was amazing and all I can say really is thank you!
Since I have started working for Little People I have really felt a place of belonging and can see how much I have developed since I first began. This is due to my fantastic team I have around me everyday, supporting me and challenging me to be the best I can be within my role. I get to see how each and every child develops and I love being able to be support them as they do so. My confidence is forever growing due to the amazing staff and children I work with everyday.”
